The Lexus LS, once the flagship of the Japanese luxury brand, has reportedly sold out at dealerships across the US. National inventory data shows no new examples remaining, marking the end of a sedan that sat at the top of the Lexus range for decades.

The LS offered a more spacious cabin, a softer ride and higher-end materials than the smaller sedans in the company’s line-up. Its latest petrol version was powered by a 3.4-litre twin-turbocharged V6.

The hybrid LS 500h was dropped after the 2025 model year, with the standard LS continuing until 2026. Both versions struggled to attract buyers.

Lexus has yet to confirm whether a replacement is planned. With customers increasingly favouring SUVs, the company’s priorities have shifted accordingly. Its current US line-up includes eight SUVs and just two sedans, hence, a new flagship saloon is unlikely to follow.

The Lexus LC 500 is also nearing the end of the road in the US. Discontinued after the 2026 model year, only 10 units are reportedly left in dealer inventory nationwide.
