It’s hard to believe that 13 years have gone by since the McLaren P1 went into production. It has aged so well that the design looks fresh even today.
The first P1 rolled off the assembly line in 2013, heralding the age of the hybrid supercar. The very first unit was retained by the company and was never sold to a private buyer. However, there are conflicting claims about this. In fact, chassis no. 001 has been spotted around southern Spain multiple times. It was recently captured in Marbella early in the morning.
The McLaren P1 chassis no. 001 is finished in a unique shade of metallic blue called MSO SLR Blue. It has a painted bumper paired unlike most P1s and is paired with silver wheels. The interior has a two-tone color scheme of black and grey Alcantara.
The 3.8-liter, twin-turbo V8 hybrid powering the P1 churns out 903 hp and 664 lb-ft of torque. The motor is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission that drives the rear wheels. McLaren claims a 0-62 mph time of 2.8 seconds. The hypercar can reach a top speed of 217 mph.
