Jaguar TCS Racing has revealed the name of its next Formula E race car, which will compete in the championship’s GEN4 era from the 2027 season. It’s called the Jaguar I-Type 08.
Jaguar’s earlier Formula E cars used the ‘I-TYPE’ name, from the original I-TYPE 1 to the team’s most successful challenger, the I-TYPE 7. The latest car switches to a sentence-case ‘Type’ and adds a leading zero, bringing the name in line with the recently revealed Jaguar Type 01.
The I-Type 08 is scheduled to make its first appearance on Tuesday, Nov 10. Its first public outing will follow at Formula E’s official pre-season testing in Madrid, held at the Circuito de Madrid Jarama from Nov 16 to 20.
