The UAE has no shortage of spectacular cars, but even in this market, the BMW Skytop is something truly special. The country’s first example has been spotted at night, wearing a Sharjah licence plate and looking every bit as exclusive as expected.
Finished in a spectacular colour, the Skytop features BMW’s illuminated kidney grille, slim LED headlights with distinctive DRLs and beautifully sculpted bodywork. The proportions are particularly striking, while large alloy wheels and quad exhausts give it a serious presence.
The cabin is just as special, with premium leather, intricate detailing and a driver-focused layout. Behind the seats, the Skytop also gets a pair of removable roof panels, allowing owners to enjoy an open-air driving experience.
The BMW Skytop was first shown as a concept at the 2024 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. BMW approved a limited production run of just 50 cars, each priced at around $580,000.
Underneath the bespoke bodywork is BMW M8 hardware: a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8, an 8-speed automatic gearbox and BMW’s xDrive for all-wheel-drive capabilities.
