Porsches set Ablaze in Possible G20 Arson Attack in Germany

As many as 12 Porsche sports cars were set ablaze in an alleged G20 arson attack in Germany. The fire broke out at Porsche Center in Eidelstedt, Hamburg in the wee hours of Thursday morning.

At least 10 Porsches were damaged according to the fire department. The fire which started at 3.55 am was brought under control by 38 firefighters before it could spread elsewhere and cause further damage.

Two other cars were damaged by the fire and the foam used to extinguish the blaze. In all, the damage caused is estimated to cost Porsche around $1.3 million.

Leaders of the world’s top 20 nations will be arriving in Hamburg for the annual G20 summit. In the wake of the G20 meeting, acts of violence and protests have increased in the past few days in Germany.
