Fresh reports suggest that Chevrolet could bring back the very popular Camaro nameplate, perhaps in the form of a new, sporty sedan. It could be a rear-wheel-drive model powered by a gasoline engine.
The reportedly new Camaro is a part of Chevrolet’s 5-year future plan. It is expected to arrive around 2028 and would share its underpinnings with the next-gen Cadillac CT5.

Reports also say that this model is likely to be manufactured at GM’s Lansing Grand River Assembly plant in Michigan.
If this turns out to be true, the Camaro would prove to be a worthy rival to Ford’s long-rumoured Mustang Mach-4. And it would also help Chevy to diversify its product lineup. Stephanie Brinley, associate director of AutoIntelligence at Mobility Global, said that a new sedan could still “contribute meaningfully” to Chevrolet’s portfolio.
