A 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 will be among the highlights at SEMA 2026. Built by Classic Recreations, the GT500CR is described as the world’s only production, officially licensed carbon-fibre-bodied example. The car recently made its debut at the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas and will now be displayed at the FuelTech booth in the Las Vegas Convention Center’s Central Hall.
The show also marks Classic Recreations’ first SEMA appearance since coming under the ownership of Velocity Restorations.

Under the bonnet of the carbon-fibre Shelby GT500 sits a Gen 4X 5.0-litre Coyote V8 built by Wegner, paired with a massive 3.0-litre Whipple supercharger. The setup produces 1,000 hp, sent to the rear wheels through a Suncoast-built 10-speed automatic transmission.

The chassis gets Detroit Speed suspension hardware, electronically controlled Nitron shocks and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes. Forgeline Carbon Grudge wheels, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, complete the package.
