Nicole Competizione, a Ferrari dealership in Yokohama, Japan, has an ultra-rare Ferrari J50 for sale. Only 10 examples of this special edition were produced for the Japanese market. This one has a price tag of JPY 480,000,000, which is approximately $3 million!
The Ferrari J50 was introduced as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the brand’s presence in Japan. It is based on the 488 Spider and features a completely bespoke exterior with a targa top. This particular car is finished in a shade of white called Bianco Liana.
Ferrari’s chief design officer Flavio Manzoni, styled the exterior of the J50. With the 488 as a base, Flavio created a modern design, hints of which can be found on recent models like the SF90 Stradale. The interior of the car was left untouched and has the same dashboard layout as the 488.
Besides the restyled exterior, the J50 also has an updated engine. The 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 produces 681 hp, which is 20 hp more than the standard 488. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, which sends power to the rear wheels.
