The original Audi Quattro made its name with a five-cylinder engine and rally-bred performance. Audacious Automotive, however, has taken a rather different route with its latest creation, the IV. This modern tribute combines the short-wheelbase Quattro’s unmistakable shape with the underpinnings of a B7-generation Audi RS4.
The biggest talking point of the Audacious Automotive IV is its 4.2-litre V8. The entry-level version gets a supercharger and produces 600 bhp, while a more serious Stage Two setup pushes that figure to 750 bhp.

Audacious is also developing an even more ambitious version that can rev to 10,000 rpm, with buyers able to choose a naturally aspirated setup. Power goes to all four wheels through the RS4’s six-speed manual gearbox.

The bodywork takes inspiration from the Group B rally car, while the cabin gets a completely new dashboard and analogue-style instruments. Buyers can choose an original Quattro shell or carbon-fibre construction, with the latter targeting a weight of just 1,200 kg.

Only 50 cars will be built in Edinburgh, with prices starting at £350,000 / $470,000 before VAT and other costs. First deliveries are expected late next year.
