A Ferrari F50 with only 106 miles on the odo has been sold for an eye-watering $17 million at a Broad Arrow auction. The sale sets a new record for the model.
This is the 334th of just 349 Ferrari F50 models built, and it has covered less distance in nearly 30 years than many modern cars do in a few months. Finished in Rosso Corsa exterior colour and a Nero leather interior, the car is said to be very close to its original condition.
Power comes from Ferrari’s 4.7-litre naturally aspirated V12, derived from its Formula 1 programme. It produces 513 hp and drives the rear wheels through a six-speed gated manual gearbox.
The package is made even more special by the original removable hardtop, flight case, Schedoni luggage, driving shoes and factory tool kit, all of which have been retained.
