Koenigsegg CEO adds an ultra-rare Zagato AGTZ Twin Tail to his collection
Last year, Zagato revealed the AGTZ Twin Tail – an ultra-exclusive, coachbuilt sports car based on the Alpine A110. Only 19 examples of this ‘A220 homage’ are being built. McLaren F1 designer Gordon Murray is getting one. Another big name from the hypercar world that’s on the list is Christian von Koenigsegg.
Zagato has released images of Koenigsegg’s AGTZ Twin Tail. The car is finished in the signature metallic blue shade, complete with the French tricolore livery. It has a white roundel on the sides and matching lower section.
Most of the body panels on the AGTZ Twin Tail are made from carbon fibre. But the main highlight of this car is the removable tail section.
The Zagato AGTZ Twin Tail is powered by a 1.8-lire, 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 249 hp. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic that sends power to the rear axle, allowing the car to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 4.5 seconds.
This year, Zagato will be showcasing a one-off long tail based on the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione. It is called the 8C Doppiacoda Zagato.
