We’ve all seen scale models. But this? It’s something else. A full-size McLaren Senna made out of Lego bricks, and yes, it actually “starts” and revs.
We can see in the video that the one-off creation sits right next to a real Senna. At first glance, it’s hard to process. The proportions are spot on, and the details are obsessive. And then it gets even crazier.
Built using around 470,000 Lego bricks, this replica isn’t just for show. It has a functional interior. You’ll find an Alcantara-style steering wheel, carbon-fibre paddle shifters, and a racing bucket seat. There’s even a working infotainment system. It can control features like interior lighting and a rearview camera. Then comes the party trick.
Just like the real car, the start button is mounted on the roof. Press it, and the Lego McLaren Senna comes to life. No actual V8 sits behind the driver, of course. But the startup sequence and rev effect are convincing enough to make you look twice.

For reference, the real Senna packs a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 pushing 789 hp and 590 lb ft of torque. It comes mated to an in-house developed 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The track-oriented variant can do the 0-62 mph sprint in 2.8 seconds, 0-124 mph in 6.8 seconds and has a top speed of 208 mph.
