Bugatti has revealed its latest coachbuilt hypercar as part of the uber-exclusive Solitaire programme. It’s called the Bugatti Destrier, which means ‘Warhorse’ in English. It is inspired by the Type 57G and Type 57C “Tank”.

The Destrier is based on the same carbon fibre monocoque as the Bolide. It has a low and flat front end with massive ducts similar to the Bolide. It has the wide horseshoe grille and new LED headlights. The hypercar almost looks like a longtail when viewed from the side. You can also see Bugatti’s new C-line and massively flared wheel arches.

In the rear, you have the quad exhausts from the Bolide flanked by a strip of LEDs. The car has a blended rear wing similar to the Chiron Profilee and an aggressive diffuser. The interior of the Destrier has been borrowed straight from the Bolide track hypercar, except that it has a more luxurious touch.

The exterior of the car is finished in a deep blue shade called Sapphire Celeste. It rides on bespoke wheels with 20-inch rims in the front and 21s at the back.

The engine is the same 8.0-liter W16 quad-turbocharged unit, which makes 1600 hp.

The Bugatti Destrier will be showcased at The Quail on August 16.
