Ferrari California T Gets ‘Handling Speciale Pack’
The Ferrari California T is getting an upgrade in the handling and suspension department. The sporty convertible will come with a ‘Handling Speciale’ pack developed to sharpen the dynamics of the California T. It will debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in the first week of March.
The California T is the only soft-ish sports GT in the Ferrari line up. The handling pack makes it 16 percent stiffer at the front and 19 percent on the rear. Switch to ‘Sport’ mode and the dual-clutch transmission responds to inputs even quicker than before, while the magnetorheological dampers are configured to provide a “fuller, richer and involving” driving experience.
Under the hood, the 3.8-liter turbocharged V8 is left untouched which means 552 hp and 755 Nm is available from low down in the rev range. Meanwhile, a revised exhaust system gives the California T a throatier exhaust note. Performance figures remain pretty much the same- 60 mph comes up in 3.6 sec and top speed is 196 mph.
