BYD has launched the 2nd-generation Seal 07 in China with a fully electric and plug-in hybrid powertrain. Prices start at 139,900 yuan (around $20,975) before discounts, while the new model also gets the company’s flash-charging technology and God’s Eye driver assistance system.
The Seal 07 follows BYD’s Ocean Aesthetics 2.0 design language. Its exterior features split wave-shaped headlights, a closed-off front grille and a full-width rear light bar. There is also a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor for the brand’s more advanced driver assistance hardware.

Inside, the cabin gets a 15.6-inch floating touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a head-up display.
The plug-in hybrid combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with a 160 kW (214 hp) electric motor and a 38.029 kWh LFP battery. It offers a claimed electric-only range of 245 km (152 miles) on the WLTC cycle.

The fully electric version produces 400 hp, reaches a claimed top speed of 240 km/h (150 mph) and offers up to 718 km (446 miles) of WLTP range.
