Exclusive! McLaren P1 successor global debut likely in October 2024
McLaren is all set to reveal its next-generation hypercar later this year. While we still don’t have an exact date, sources tell us that the McLaren P1 successor is likely to make its global debut in October 2024.
McLaren has already started sending out launch invites to prospective customers around the world. We recently showed you what was inside the fancy grey box. We also confirm that the private unveiling of the P1 successor has been scheduled for September.
The P1 successor, known internally as ‘P18’, will be based on an all-new carbon fibre monocoque, featuring all-new 3D-printed suspension . It is likely to feature gullwing doors, similar to the Pagani Huayra.
The P1 replacement is said to use a plug-in hybrid powertrain featuring a V8 engine paired with electric motors. It’s expected to have a combined output of over 1000 hp.
