Bugatti Tourbillon pre-production prototype spotted in the UAE

A pre-production prototype of the Bugatti Tourbillon was recently spotted at an undisclosed location in the UAE. Extreme weather testing is an integral part of the development process, and it appears that the Tourbillon’s hot weather trials have now commenced.

The Tourbillon is powered by a brand-new 8.3-liter V16 engine, which has to handle all kinds of weather conditions, be it the bone-freezing cold of the Arctic or the sweltering heat in the Middle East. Apart from the internal combustion engine, the tests will also focus on the hybrid system and how it copes in extreme temperatures.

Production of the Tourbillon is expected to begin in 2026. Only 250 examples will be produced with a price tag of around $4.5 million each.

Meanwhile, the production line at Molsheim is currently busy building the final W16-powered Bugatti – the Mistral.
