Aston Martin Valour celebrates the brand’s 110th anniversary

Aston Martin has unveiled a rather spectacular-looking sports car based on the V12 Vantage. The new Aston Martin Valour is an ultra-exclusive model that celebrates the brand’s 110th anniversary. Hence, only 110 units will be produced for the entire world.

The Valour borrows design cues from other V12 supercars built by the Gaydon-based automaker – the One-77 and the one-off Victor. The car features a low-slung front with a wide grille and circular headlamps. It has a clamshell bonnet with a large horseshoe vent and twin NACA ducts. There are carbon fibre intakes on either side, a rear screen with vortex-generating exoblades and an upswept Kamm tail and a prominent diffuser.

The tail lights on the Valour echo those on the Valkyrie hypercar. It also has an interesting exhaust setup. Those triple tailpipes are crafted from lightweight stainless steel and help amplify the V12 soundtrack.

Powering the Aston Martin Valour is a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V2 engine that makes 705 hp and 555 lb-ft of torque. Besides the striking exterior, the other highlight of this car is that it comes with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Aston Martin claims that the Valour is underpinned by a bespoke suspension setup with adaptive dampers, springs and anti-roll bars. The car is equipped with a mechanical limited-slip differential. Drivers can tune the throttle response, torque and sound by selecting from three drive modes – Sport, Sport+ and Track.

Inside, the Valour gets Mokume carbon fibre detailing, and cashmere fabrics for the seats and headliner. The gear shifter has also been specially designed, which can be specced in carbon fibre or walnut.
