Amalgam, which sells premium scale models, has announced a new 1:8 replica of the Aston Martin Valkyrie. The scale models are extremely intricate and come with Aston Martin’s seal of approval.

The new 1:8 Aston Martin Valkyrie from Amalgam will be a limited-run model, with just 199 coupes and 199 spiders. It will be offered in two versions: Limited Edition and Bespoke. The limited-edition versions will come standard in a shade of Podium Green exterior and an all-black interior. The Bespoke edition, though, will allow customers to customise the models to their specifications.

Each of the 1:8 models are hand-built and assembled by a small team of craftsmen. Amalgam stated that it took over 3000 hours to develop the model, while each replica takes 300 hours to build and consists of thousands of precisely engineered parts. The scale model is said to have been built using the original CAD designs, paint codes and material specifications as the actual Valkyrie hypercars.

The 1:8 Aston Martin Valkyrie limited edition is priced at US$ 19,900. The Bespoke edition of the Valkyrie scale model costs US$ 27,860.

Society has truly peaked, if there are senseless things like this being sold with that kind of price tag.

    20 grand? That’s all?
As a scale collector I’ve seen other licensed replicas go for way too much, this is pretty much the same. But of course, I’m sure there are Aston Martin owners shelling out the funds without even thinking twice.

I have more of a chance of shrinking down to the size that would be needed to fit in,than I would have enough money to buy the real one.
