New BMW X5 M electric spy shots reveal redesigned kidney grille, other features

1 Min Read

A camouflaged prototype of the new BMW X5 M electric has been spotted testing in Germany, and even under heavy disguise, it reveals some key features.

The most noticeable change sits right up front. BMW appears to be reworking its signature kidney grille once again, this time giving it a more upright and three-dimensional look. It feels taller, more pronounced, and distinct from the cleaner design language seen on standard Neue Klasse SUVs. Apart from that, the lower bumper features significantly larger air intakes and extra vents.

At the rear, there’s a secondary roof spoiler sitting above the main unit, adding potential aerodynamic benefit. The rear bumper also appears more sculpted than anything seen on current models.

The new BMW X5 M electric is expected to draw power from four electric motors – one on each wheel. The expected output is between 800 and 900 hp.
