A Porsche 911 GT3 (992.2) has been spotted lapping the Nürburgring Nordschleife, and it doesn’t seem to be your typical GT3 test mule.
The elephant in the room here is that ducktail rear spoiler. It isn’t an aftermarket experiment. It appears to be a fully integrated part of the bodywork, complete with a neatly embedded third brake light. It looks like a properly engineered, factory-developed solution, hinting at something more special than a standard Porsche 911 GT3 update.

Behind the wheel was none other than Jörg Bergmeister, one of Porsche’s most trusted factory drivers. That alone adds weight to the sighting. When Bergmeister is involved, it usually means some serious development and testing is underway.
What’s equally surprising is how exposed the car is. There’s barely any camouflage, which is unusual for something potentially significant. It suggests Porsche isn’t too concerned about hiding the design—or perhaps wants enthusiasts to notice.
Details remain scarce. It’s unclear whether this is a manual GT3, a PDK-equipped Touring, or an entirely new special edition. However, the presence of lightweight magnesium wheels points toward a focus on performance, possibly with the optional Weissach-style package.
