The Praga Bohema recently broke the lap record at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. The previous record was set by the Pagani Huayra Roadster BC, and it had remained unbeaten for 6 years.

The Bohema clocked a 2 min 21.42 second lap, beating the Pagani’s time by 1.67 seconds. Praga test driver Aleš Jirásek was not even trying to beat the lap record. In this onboard video, you can see how messy the lap was. The car was sliding around at the La Source hairpin and was struggling for traction out of the last chicane. Clearly, on a good day, with no traffic and better grip, the Bohema will go even quicker.

The Praga Bohema is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine from a Nissan GT-R that makes 690 hp and 535 lb-ft of torque. It may be down on sheer power compared to the Huayra Roadster BC, but it weighs less than 1000 kg.

The car used for the record run was completely stock and was equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires.
