A driverless Xiaomi YU7 GT going around the Green Hell and setting a new record; can you believe it?
Xiaomi has really pulled off a groundbreaking feat. The performance EV completed the world’s first fully autonomous lap of the Nurburgring Nordschleife. No driver, no human intervention, just software taking on one of the toughest tracks on the planet.

It clocked a time of 10 minutes and 29.483 seconds around the 20.8 km circuit. It’s a solid benchmark for autonomous tech, although still over three minutes slower than what a human driver can achieve in the same machine.
Xiaomi YU7 GT uses a 897V Silicon Carbide high-voltage platform paired with a 101.7 kWh ternary lithium battery pack. It produces 1003 hp and allows the EV to accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 2.92 seconds. Its top speed is limited to 186 mph. The YU7 GT can cover a range of 705 km in a single charge.
