Rolls-Royce has unveiled the one-off Black Badge Ghost Tourist Trophy edition on the Isle of Man, celebrating 120 years since Charles Stewart Rolls claimed victory at the 1906 Tourist Trophy.
That historic run, completed alongside mechanic Eric Platford, saw their Light 20HP conquer the Highroads Course in just over four hours at an average speed of 39.4 mph. By today’s standards, it sounds modest. Back then, it was groundbreaking.

This modern tribute carries that legacy in a far subtler way. The Ghost is finished in a deep Dark Emerald shade, echoing the original car’s green bodywork, while a single Tan coachline flows cleanly across the silhouette. Look closer and you’ll spot a delicate hand-painted ‘4’ in Arctic White, a nod to Rolls’ starting position on race day.
Inside, it’s a restrained celebration. Black leather meets Technical Fibre, contrasted by Tan accents and stitching. The references to that 1906 triumph are there, but like everything Rolls-Royce does, they are subtle; present but well-contained, rather than loud.

Under the bonnet sits Rolls-Royce’s familiar 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V12, pushing out 592 bhp and 664 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. It’s a GPS-based setup that’s linked to the company’s Satellite Aided Transmission system, which uses GPS data to preselect ratios for upcoming road conditions.
