$1.7 million Brabus Bodo Cabriolet looks stunning in white by the ocean

A Brabus Bodo Cabriolet finished in white has been captured against the sea. The long, sleek convertible looks every bit like the extravagant grand tourer it was designed to be. Perhaps only a few other cars would suit such a dramatic backdrop.

The Brabus Bodo Cabriolet was revealed at Pebble Beach last month and is priced at a staggering $1.7 million. Measuring around 200 inches long and nearly 80 inches wide, it has the proportions of a modern land yacht. Apart from its folding fabric roof, the Cabriolet shares its design with the Bodo coupe.

Under that enormous bonnet sits a heavily upgraded 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged V12 producing 1,000 hp and 885 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, sending power to the rear wheels through an electronically controlled differential.

It is not just the performance that makes the Bodo special. Its long body, low stance and bespoke styling give it a presence that few other cars can match, particularly with the roof folded down.
