Range Rover is preparing to take a new approach to modern car interiors. The brand wants fewer screens in its future lineup. As rivals, particularly Chinese brands, continue filling dashboards with increasingly large displays, the British luxury marque is planning to reduce screen sizes across its new models.
The strategy has been previewed by the upcoming Range Rover GT. Its cabin features a centrally mounted touchscreen positioned lower on the dashboard, accompanied by a slim digital driver display.

There is no huge screen stretching across the dashboard, while a dedicated passenger display has also been considered unnecessary. Range Rover believes this more restrained approach could become a point of difference as digital displays continue to dominate new-car interiors.
However, the company isn’t abandoning touchscreens altogether. The GT will retain some shortcut controls on the steering wheel, but functions such as climate and multimedia settings will still rely largely on the main display.
It marks a notable change in direction for Range Rover, which has followed the industry’s push towards bigger and more numerous screens. The new philosophy is less about returning to traditional dashboards and more about finding a sensible balance between technology and usability.

Yes.. finally this luxury car maker must have realised that car buyers are not fools….
This gimmick of biggerand bigger sized touch screen was blatantly shown as a feature which wasade to believe that the same is for the convenience of buyer. But infact this was a to the benefit of car manufacturers whose cost reduced by more then 5 to 6000 dollars.
This screen was also a big cause of drivers attention getting majorly diverted and is the major contributor of most of accidents.
Touch screen controls are not at all of any convenience or for ease of driving safely, but in fact it’s the major cause of likely accidents and was cleverlyand wrongfully packaged by manufacturers as a feature for their own several advamtages…..
Today’s high end consumers are well aware of these gimmicks and as such Jaguar has taken note of it in time…..
