Mercedes-AMG GT S vs Porsche 911 Turbo: Deadly Rivals

Mercedes-AMG GT S vs Porsche 911 Turbo

Mercedes-AMG GT is Stuttgart’s latest baby and in S-trim makes 503 hp. Porsche 911 Turbo is an iconic sports car powered by a twin-turbo engine that puts out 513 hp and has got all-wheel drive.

Both cars cost about the same and each has a unique dual-clutch transmission. The Porsche definitely has the advantage over the Mercedes from the get go. All-wheel drive traction is absent in the Mercedes and while does have a brilliant paddle-shift gearbox, it isn’t as quick as Porsche’s PDK.

The Mercedes-AMG GT S is an oversteery beast. The Porsche on the other hand is more poised around the twisty race track. The 911 Turbo is quite literally a “rocket ship”.

Recently, EVO also did a track test of a Porsche 911 Turbo S which you watch by clicking on the link.
