Limited Edition Ferrari 296 GTB celebrates F2004’s Hungarian GP win
Ferrari has introduced a limited edition version of the 296 GTB Assetto Fiorano. Only five examples will be produced as a tribute to the Scuderia Ferrari’s dominant performance at the 2004 Hungarian GP.
The new special edition celebrates the F2004’s 1-2 victory at the Hungaroring. The race was won by Michael Schumacher, with Rubens Barichello finishing P2, and helped the team to secure its 6th world championship.
The 296 GTB Assetto Fiorano special edition has been created by Ferrari Atelier. It features a special livery inspired by the championship-winning F2004 F1 car, with a 3-layer metallic Rosso F1 paint with Bianco King White highlights and the number 1 graphic on the bonnet.
Inside, it gets special carbon door sills, the Hungaroring track and the Hungarian flag stitched on the headrests.
Powering the 296 GTB is a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine paired with a hybrid system. It develops 819 hp and 546 lb-ft of torque. The Assetto Fiorano package adds several carbon elements, race-derived shock absorbers and optional carbon fibre wheels.
