It’s been a few days since the new Tesla Roadster made its debut, and now specs of the EV are surfacing on the internet. As per reports, the Performance version of the car is expected to deliver around 1,350 hp. But that’s not the only eye-catching number here.

According to details, the Tesla Roadster will use two electric motors mounted on the rear axle. The standard model is expected to produce approximately 1,073 hp and 885 lb-ft of torque, while the Performance variant raises those figures to 1,350 hp and 1,033 lb-ft.

For now, Tesla lists a claimed top speed of 214 mph. However, Chief Designer Franz von Holzhausen and Vehicle Engineering VP Lars Moravy told Top Gear that a future version will target a staggering 330 mph.

Tesla also claims a driving range of 310 to 320 miles, depending on the version. Although battery capacity remains undisclosed, the car is said to support 500kW charging, taking it from 10 to 80 percent in under 15 minutes.

Weight is another promising figure, with Top Gear reporting less than 1700 kg in its lightest configuration. If these targets translate into a production car, the Roadster could be a serious performance machine.
