Last month, we reported that BMW was planning to showcase a limited edition Hommage to the iconic 3.0 CSL. Well, the CEO of BMW’s M division has just shared these teaser images on Instagram, which suggests that we won’t have to wait much longer.
The BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage is expected to be based on the recently launched M4 CSL. Some refer to it as the M4 GT/H.
Reports suggest that the car will be hand-built and is likely to be powered by a 3.0-liter twin-turbo 6-cylinder engine tuned to around 600 hp. Moreover, the CSL Hommage will be available with a manual transmission and 0-62 mph could be dispatched in just 3.5 seconds.
The CSL Hommage is expected to be lighter with fewer frills. We’ve been told that it might even lack features like parking sensors and electric seats.
It is believed that BMW could produce 50 units of the 3.0 CSL Hommage. If rumors are true, this car could have a price tag of €750,000!
