Lamborghini to skip 2020 Geneva Motor Show

What a bummer! Lamborghini will not be attending the 2020 Geneva Motor Show.

If we were to rate the best car shows for supercar enthusiasts, the Geneva Motor Show would be right up there. Unfortunately, this year, Lamborghini has decided to skip the event.

2019 has been an exciting year for Lamborghini. Quite a few interesting cars were presented and the company also registered record sales. The 2019 Geneva Motor Show played host to the Aventador SVJ Roadster. Just like the coupe, it packs a 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces 759 hp and 531 lb-ft of torque. However, to the uninitiated, the SVJ is the fastest, craziest version of the Aventador.

In September last year, Lamborghini took the wraps off the Sian hypercar packing a 48V electric motor and a lithium-ion supercapacitor. A similar powertrain is expected to feature on future models.

A month later, images of the track-only Aventador SVR had leaked online. Believed to be developed by Squadra Corse, it is supposed to be the ultimate Lamborghini track car. We are yet to see this car in flesh and Geneva would’ve been the perfect venue to showcase it for the first time.
