LaFerrari successor (F250): Spy images reveal active aero and other details

A test mule of the LaFerrari successor was recently spotted with pre-production bodywork, revealing the final design of Ferrari’s upcoming hypercar. Now, new images have surfaced on social media that reveal more details.

In our previous post, we mentioned about the S-duct. The Formula 1-derived aerodynamic feature can be clearly seen in the latest spy images. There are cooling ducts on either side of the front bumper, while the central section houses a pair of vents that feed the S-duct. As you can see, these vents can be opened or shut depending on the downforce requirement.

The most prominent aero aid on the LaFerrari successor though, is the rear wing. As seen in these images, it’s an active spoiler which can be raised or lowered and is supported by two struts. The wing also has large end plates, and it might also have a DRS (Drag Reduction System) mode. In one of the images, the rear wing appears to be pitched rearwards, which might stall the wing and reduce drag.

Ferrari’s new flagship hypercar is expected to use a hybrid powertrain. It is likely to be powered by a smaller twin-turbo unit paired with electric motors for a combined output of at least 1000 hp.
