Hennessey to make 1,200 HP 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500

In Hennessey news, the Texas-based tuner is all set to unleash packs which will dial up the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 to 1,200 hp.

Hennessey is readying three performance packs for the 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. These tuning packages will answer the prayers of those customers who need more power, torque, and performance from their GT500. We are speaking of those buyers who aren’t happy with the muscle car’s supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine which produces 760 hp and 625 lb-ft.

Going into the details of the three packages, they have been named the Venom 850, Venom 1000, and the Venom 1200. As the names suggest, these will belt out 850, 1,000, 1,200 horses respectively.

The Venom 850 employs a new supercharger, high-flow catalytic converters, a high-flow air induction system, and stainless steel long tube headers to deliver 850 hp and 725 lb-ft.

A 3.0-liter supercharger, an upgraded fuel system, and an improved intercooler are the major highlights of the Venom 1000 pack. 1,000 hp of power and 850 lb-ft of torque can be harnessed by the upgraded transmission.

New pistons and rods, a new fuel system, an upgraded intercooler, along with a twin-turbo supercharger aid the Venom 1200 package to hurl out 1,200 hp and 1,000 lb-ft. Transmission upgrades, a high-flow air induction system, and stainless steel long tube headers complete the range-topping package.

All three packs will get the customary Hennessey badges, embroidered seats, and serial numbered plaques to distinguish them from the tamer factory-spec 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.
