A heavily disguised prototype of the upcoming baby Mercedes G-Class has been spotted in Germany. The test mule was caught on camera on the streets of Munich.
The spy shot shows us the rear quarter portion of the vehicle. Although heavily camouflaged, multiple details can still be identified. For instance, the new baby G-Class will use the same boxy design of the actual G Wagon. It will come equipped with a spare wheel mounted on the boot.
Apart from that, the test mule is running stylish alloy wheels, LED taillamps, and a high-mount stop lamp. The rest of the design is expected to be carried forward as is.
While this prototype has been spied in Germany, interestingly, as per earlier reports, Mercedes will not be manufacturing the new baby G-Class in its home country. Instead, the production will be carried out in Hungary, where the auto giant is expanding what will soon become its largest manufacturing hub in Europe.
