Ferrari 812 GTO “Versione Speciale” leaked!

Ferrari had managed to keep the 812 GTO under wraps for quite some time. Well, someone seems to have finally leaked an image of the car, albeit slightly blurry.

The 812 GTO, also dubbed as the “Versione Speciale” is the more track-focused version of the 812 Superfast. Instead of the rear glass, the GTO could get a body colored panel with vents. It will be built in limited numbers. Therefore, you need to be among Ferrari’s special clients to get a chance to own one.

The 812 GTO could be unveiled around mid-April. It is expected to be offered in coupe and Aperta body styles with the latter being the more exclusive of the two. Rumor suggest that Ferrari might build 1200 cars in total including 999 coupes.

The coupe is likely to go into production in Q2 of 2022, while the production of the aperta is expected to commence around 6 months post that.

The 812 GTO is expected to use the same 6.5-liter, naturally aspirated V12 engine that powers the 812 Superfast. But, instead of 800 hp and 530 lb-ft, the motor could be tuned to around 880 hp.
