Ferrari 296 Speciale first images leaked ahead of debut
Ferrari is all set to reveal its latest high-performance model, the 296 VS (Versione Speciale), later today. However, images of the car have already leaked online.
As you can see, Ferrari has made several modifications to the exterior of the 296 Speciale. The car has a more aggressive front end with a redesigned splitter and a central S-duct similar to the SF90 XX. There are additional vents on the hood and brake cooling ducts on either side of the air dam.
The rear section looks quite dramatic with aero blades that wrap around the rear. The fascia itself has been reworked for additional cooling. There’s a large diffuser and a single central exhaust. The green car you see here appears to be the Assetto Fiorano.
Technical details of the new Ferrari 296 Speciale are still unclear. However, it is expected to be powered by a revised 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 hybrid that is rumored to produce around 880 hp.
The 296 Speciale will be available in both coupe and spider body styles.
