BMW Concept Speedtop leaked ahead of Villa d’Este
BMW is all set to unveil at least two new cars at Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. We’re all excited to see the new M2 CS, but another car that will also make headlines is the Concept Speedtop.
You may have seen teasers of the BMW Concept Speedtop. Now, check this out – the first leaked image.
The Speedtop is based on the Concept Skytop that was showcased at last year’s event. While the Skytop has a Targa top, the new model is a shooting brake.
The front fascia looks similar to the Skytop with its minimalistic styling. It features a slim kidney grille with horizontal slats and sleek LED headlamps. The car has a convenient hatchback in the rear with slim LED tail lights.
The Concept Speedtop is expected to use the same 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine as the Skytop. It produces 625 hp and is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and BMW’s xDrive all-wheel drive system.
BMW is building 50 examples of the Skytop. So, the new Speedtop might also see a limited production run.
