The BMW M3 E30 has been reimagined in miniature form, and it’s every bit as charming as you’d hope. Teaming up once again, BMW and LEGO have unveiled a new Speed Champions set that pays tribute to 40 years of the iconic M3.
For the first time, designers from both brands collaborated on a bespoke motorsport-inspired livery, mixing the classic red, blue, white, and black hues of BMW M. The same design has even been applied to a full-scale E30 show car.

The 358-piece model captures the vibe of the original M3 remarkably well. From the signature kidney grille and quad headlights to the boxy arches and subtle rear wing, the proportions feel spot-on. It’s compact – just under 7 inches long – but rich in detail, right down to gold-finished wheels and anniversary “40” decals.

Priced at $29.99 in the US, the set is available for pre-order now, with deliveries beginning August 1 through LEGO stores and select BMW dealers.
This isn’t the only thing that BMW has done to celebrate the M3’s 40th anniversary. Apart from unveiling the BMW Alpine Vision Concept at the 2026 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, the German brand showcased a very special automobile – the BMW M3 E30 pickup truck, which was built back in 1986 to mark the early days of the original M3.
