Ford is giving the Mustang Mach-E a useful update for 2027, six years after the electric crossover first arrived. The biggest addition is a new Trail Package aimed at buyers who want to take their Mach-E beyond the pavement.
The smaller 73kWh battery has been dropped entirely. The Select and Premium versions now use an 88kWh pack, while the GT and Rally receive a slightly larger 91kWh unit. Ford hasn’t released official 2027 range figures yet, but the previous model managed up to 320 miles depending on specification.

Ford has also developed a redesigned front electric motor that matches the performance of the outgoing unit while costing less to manufacture. It’s a quiet change, but one that should help improve the Mach-E’s efficiency from a production standpoint.
The 2027 Ford Mach-E starts at $42,040, including destination charges, for the new Select RWD. Other pricing will be announced later, with orders opening October 22.

The new Trail Package costs $2,295, while first deliveries are expected during the first quarter of 2027.
