Mercedes-Benz G-Class Cabriolet prototype officially revealed
Mercedes-Benz is all set to introduce a new version of the iconic G-Wagon with a convertible top. Earlier, the carmaker had revealed a teaser showcasing a silhouette of the new G-Class Cabriolet. Now, here’s the actual pre-production prototype.
Mercedes-Benz shared these images on social media with the caption, “An icon rises from the shadows and returns to the streets. Ready for its legendary comeback?”

The G-Class Cabriolet looks similar to the standard G-Wagon. It’s based on the four-door version and has a fabric roof, which presumably can be retracted.
Mercedes hasn’t shared any technical details of the convertible G-Class yet. However, we can expect the same set of engines as the standard model, paired with an automatic gearbox and a four-wheel drive system.
