McLaren Elva is already a dedicated roadster that delivers a pure adrenaline rush. Infact, the two seater is classified by McLaren as part of its Ultimate Series which includes the likes of the F1, the P1, Senna, and the Speedtail. Now, Novitec, a tuner has managed to elk out over 907 HP from the McLaren Elva, which is no mean feat.

The Elva is a 149-run limited edition model by the sports car manufacturer. While initially limited to 399 units, it was first revised to 249 in 2020 and later to 149.

Stock vs Tuned figures of the McLaren Elva

Even in its stock guise, the Elva is no slouch. The car’s 4.0-litre V8 motor pumps out 804 HP and 590 lb-ft. of torque. These are massive numbers for a road legal car with factory tuning. However German tuner Novitec has taken the car to the next level by tuning it to 907 HP and 655 lb-ft.

Performance upgrades by Novitec

This power and torque bump was achieved thanks to few performance upgrades and proper tuning. For starters, Novitec first installed the N-Tronic module that has a revised map for the fuel injection and an electronic boost pressure control along with an exhaust that reduces the back pressure. Novitec also offers potential Elva owners to opt for gold plating to the thermal insulation.

This power boost now propels the McLaren Elva from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.7 seconds while the 124 mph comes up in under 4.0 seconds. The top speed of the car becomes 205 mph. In comparison, the official McLaren numbers read as 2.8 seconds, 6.8 seconds and a top speed of 203 mph respectively.

Other upgrades by Novitec

Apart from the power upgrades, Novitec also offers a set of forged wheels. These measure 20 inch front and 21 inch rear and interested buyers can choose a color amongst 72 shades. Apart from the colour, Novitec offers a brushed or a polished finish on the alloys.

Novitec also offers a set of lowering springs for the McLaren Elva. These reduce the car’s height by 20mm.
