Testing of the 2027 Mercedes-AMG S63 continues as its prototype has been spotted at Nurburgring. The upcoming flagship performance sedan from the German auto giant is expected to come with a new twin-turbo V8 engine.
The test mule caught on camera is wearing camouflage on the front and the back. This means that the car will come with a revised front bumper with perhaps larger air intakes, updated front grille, and headlights.
The rear end of the powerful sedan would feature aggressive AMG styling, including the quad exhaust setup. Apart from that, Mercedes is expected to incorporate a new AMG steering wheel and upgraded tech on the inside, such as the new MB.OS infotainment system.
Of course, the biggest news is the rumoured V8 engine. It’s a new powerplant featuring a flat-plane crank and twin turbos. We can hear its angry burble in some parts of the video. This is going to bring a completely new character and sound to the 2027 Mercedes-AMG S63.
