2025 BMW M5 Touring: The super estate returns after a long hiatus
The BMW M5 Touring is back for the 2025 model year. The performance estate/station wagon will also sold in the American market this time around.
If you want a 700+ horsepower sports car with a massive 500-litre boot, the M5 Touring is for you. It uses the same twin-turbo V8 hybrid engine as the sedan, packing 717 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque, which is more than enough to haul the 5530 lbs vehicle from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds.
Yes, it weighs as much as a planet, but being a hybrid, the M5 Touring is relatively kinder towards the environment. BMW claims it can run on electric power alone for up to 25 miles.
In terms of its design, the M5 Touring looks similar to its sedan counterpart. It has the same aggressive front fascia with a few vents here and a cooling duct or two there. The rear features the same slim LED tail lamp clusters and quad exhausts. The cabin layout hasn’t been changed either.
The 2025 BMW M5 Touring will be available in the US from Q4 2024 at a starting price of $121,500.
