A $120,000 Corvette ZR1 is faster than a $400,000 Ford GT around Virginia International Raceway (VIR).
Recently, the Ford GT accidentally set a new lap record at the Virginia International Raceway (VIR). The Ford GT went around the Grand Course layout in 2 min 38.62 sec beating the previous best time set by the Dodge Viper ACR. Well, the record didn’t stand for long. The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 has already beaten the Ford GT’s time. It went around in 2 min 37.25 sec setting a new production lap record of the circuit.
Here’s the video of the Ford GT inadvertently setting a lap record.
And now, here’s how the 2019 Corvette ZR1 makes the Ford GT look overpriced.
This makes us wonder, if VIR is turning into a battleground like the Nurburgring?
