Elon Musk recently announced on X that Tesla is going to wind down Cybertruck production by mid 2027. Now, as per a new report, Tesla first wants to increase the production of the electric truck before wrapping things up.
It has been reported that Tesla will add an extra production shift in an attempt to clear the order backlog before dismantling the line in 2027 to make room for the Cybercab robotaxi.

Elon Musk has posted on X, “The Cybertruck order backlog is currently far more than Tesla can make before dismantling the line for Cybercab expansion around June/July next year.”
Interestingly, on one side, Tesla has plans to produce more Cybercab models, and on the other, buyers aren’t actually guaranteed a Tesla Roadster even after putting down as much as $250,000 for a reservation.
