Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake

The Supercar Blog is almost a month old now and from now onwards, I have decided to a do a review of all supercar stories that we have covered over the week. So, even if you happen to miss some supercar action or news from the fast lane, this would be your chance to get up to date with all the happenings from the world of man and machine, speed and horsepower. Let us begin with the Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4. We published a story of the Huracan that has been delivered to the Italian state police. The Huracan replaces the old Gallardo not just around the world but also in the Italian police squad. Having updated to a 610 horsepower supercar, we hope to see more criminals behind bars this time around.

Ferrari California T

Now, did you check out the insane Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake with 940 horsepower? Well, Shelby does have a history of making preposterously powerful machines in the form of the Super Snake and the 1000 horsepower model. This however is a GT500 with the same amount of power as the tech-showcase in carbon fiber that is the Mclaren P1 and that’s million dollar hypercar.

Another trending story of the week was the awesome 3000 bhp Bentley Continental GT race car. This behemoth of a drag racer has been built to conquer the drag strips of Europe and creates power using a Chevrolet V-8 with a capacity of 10.2-liters. The cost of all that power, USD 420,000.

Pagani Huayra

If you live in Hong Kong and would like to own a Ferrari California T, I’m afraid to say this, but you might have just lost a chance. The all-new, lighter and more powerful version of the California was launched in Hong Kong this week. Ferrari plans to bring a limited number of cars to the South East Asian city this year and all of them have been sold, until the next lot arrives in 2015.

If you are fan of turbocharged cars, then you might want to check out this video of the Pagani Huayra as it is driven hard around a twisty race track. Make sure you turn the volume up to enjoy the utterly orgasmic sound of the waste gates. One video you wouldn’t want to miss is of the Lamborghini Veneno driving through the streets of Sant’Agata at night. Mercedes-Benz has released a trailer of their flagship S63 AMG Coupe which is worth a look as well.

Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

Meanwhile, order guides of the upcoming 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray leaked on to the internet this week. Among the list of features are two new paint options, an 8-speed automatic gearbox with paddles and a limited-slip differential.
