Rolls-Royce has revealed its most powerful car ever made and it isn’t a V12. The Spectre Black Badge is the most potent version of the brand’s first EV.

The Spectre Black Badge is powered by dual electric motors delivering 659 hp and 792 lb-ft of torque. That’s 82 hp more than what you get in the standard Spectre, while peak torque is up by 128 lb-ft.

The added punch from the electric powertrain translates into quick acceleration times. The Spectre Black Badge can sprint from 0-60 mph in just 4.1 seconds. The car gets two new drive modes: Infinity and Spirited. The latter gives access to launch control.

The Black Badge version also gets tuned dampers that are said to reduce squatting under hard acceleration and braking. Rolls-Royce also claims to have improved the body roll characteristics of the Spectre.

All that performance does take a toll on efficiency, though. The Black Badge can cover 266 miles on a single charge. Equip it with the optional 23-inch rims and the range drops to 251 miles.

As is the case with any Rolls-Royce, you get a tonne of customization options on the Spectre Black Badge. The exterior has dark accents all around, while inside, you get carbon fibre and piano black trim options.
