Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato is a supercar built to go rallying

Lamborghini has taken the wraps off its all-new go-anywhere supercar, the Huracan Sterrato. As reported by us earlier, the car was presented at Art Basel in Miami.

The Sterrato is essentially a jacked-up Huracan. In fact, compared to the Huracan Evo, the suspension on the Sterrato has been raised by 43 mm. Additional ground clearance, combined with all-wheel drive and an updated ‘Integrated Vehicle Dynamics System’ gives it the go-anywhere ability.

On the outside, the Huracan Sterrato gets a bespoke body kit that includes fender extensions, skid plates, roof rails, a roof scoop and even a pair of auxiliary LED lights.

At its heart is the familiar 5.2-liter V10 engine that develops 602 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque. It is channelled to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. In addition to Strada and Sport modes, the Sterrato also gets a ‘Rally’ mode, unique to the model. Lambo claims a 0-62 mph time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 162 mph.

Besides the raised suspension, Lamborghini has also given the Sterrato wider front and rear tracks. The car rides on 19-inch wheels shod with Bridgestone’s all-terrain run-flat tires.

Production of the Huracan Sterrato will commence in February 2023. Only 1499 units will be produced.
