Lamborghini Countach Homage could be unveiled on May 18

Lamborghini is set to reveal something really special on May 18, 2021. If you’ve been following us, we had reported that the carmaker was planning to unveil the “final Aventador” by mid-May. Now, sources tell us that it is likely to be the Countach Homage that will be revealed next week.

What is the Countach Homage?

Remember the Aventador Miura Homage? Well, the new special edition will be something similar to that. However, this time the car will be based on the Lamborghini Sian. It will have a totally unique exterior, perhaps with design elements inspired by the original Countach.

It will be powered by a naturally aspirated V12 that makes 785 hp and 531 lb-ft of torque. The mild-hybrid system consists of a 48 V electric motor that adds another 34 hp and 28 lb-ft for a total output of 807 hp.

From all the information that we have been able to gather till now, it seems that a private unveiling will take place on May 17, 2021. During this event, the car will be showcased in front of select dealers and top customers.

Given that the Countach Homage will be a special edition, the car will be built in limited numbers. The exact number, however, is still debatable. Some have put the number at 100 units, while others say only 50 cars will be built.

A limited-edition Lamborghini supercar will certainly come at a premium. Rumors suggest the Countach Homage could cost about $3million.

This information comes from various sources and should be taken with a pinch of salt. We can’t wait to see the car on May 18.
