Lamborghini Aventador SVJ recalled in the US for door handle issue

The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ has been recalled for a door handle issue.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), “the interior door handle mechanism may fail, resulting in the vehicle’s door being unable to be opened.”

To rectify this issue, Lamborghini is recalling certain 2020 Aventador SVJ coupe and roadster models. Dealers will replace the interior door handle free of cost

The recall is expected to begin from May 1, 2020. Lamborghini will be notifying owners about this recall.

The Aventador SVJ was unveiled at Pebble Beach in 2018. The car features the Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA) active aero package, which was first introduced on the Huracan Performante.

The SVJ is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 engine, which puts out 760 hp @ 8500 rpm and 531 lb-ft of torque @ 6750 rpm. The engine is mated to a 7-speed sequential manual.
